1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Aivaapp website and services. By accessing or using our services, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, have read and understood these Terms, and agree to be bound by them.

2. Description of Services

Aivaapp is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that facilitates peer connections between individuals in recovery from substance use disorders and trained volunteer mentors and sponsors. Our services include:

• Mentor and sponsor matching for people in recovery
• Peer support group facilitation
• Volunteer training and certification for mentors
• Educational resources related to recovery

Our services are provided free of charge to individuals seeking support. Aivaapp is not a licensed clinical treatment provider and does not provide medical, psychiatric, or professional counseling services.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to use Aivaapp's services. By using our platform, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. Volunteers applying to become mentors must additionally:

• Have at least one (1) year of sustained recovery
• Successfully pass a background check
• Complete Aivaapp's certified peer mentor training program
• Agree to ongoing compliance requirements

4. User Conduct

All users of Aivaapp's services agree to:

• Treat all other participants with respect and dignity
• Provide accurate and truthful information in their profiles
• Not solicit money, personal financial information, or gifts from other participants
• Not engage in romantic or sexual contact with mentees or mentors
• Report any concerning behavior to Aivaapp staff immediately
• Not use the platform for commercial purposes or solicitation

Violations of this conduct policy may result in immediate removal from the program.

5. Mentor Responsibilities

Volunteer mentors and sponsors agree to:

• Maintain honesty about their recovery status and qualifications
• Operate within the scope of peer support (not clinical advice)
• Refer mentees to professional help when needed
• Maintain confidentiality of all mentee communications
• Comply with Aivaapp's ongoing training and reporting requirements

6. Disclaimers

Aivaapp provides peer support services only and is not a substitute for professional medical, psychiatric, or addiction treatment services. We strongly encourage all users to work with licensed healthcare providers as part of their recovery plan.

We do not guarantee that use of our services will result in sustained recovery or any particular outcome. Recovery is a deeply personal journey, and results vary significantly among individuals.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Aivaapp shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, our services. Our total liability to you for any cause of action shall not exceed one hundred dollars ($100).

8. Termination

Aivaapp reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access to our services at any time, with or without notice, for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion. You may also terminate your participation at any time by contacting us at hello@aivaapp.org.

9. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the American Arbitration Association rules.
